Sadly not a canon song but I'm planning on hopefully doing a Genie Guy cover |

You know, I came here really excited to share with you guys an official recording of "Nothing In The World" that I realized was on a "Magical Selections" CD Disney put out right after ROJ that included the songs from the movie. Then I heard the track and all they did was take the audio from the movie and clip the song portion worst than the version we've been passing around to each other all these years
I'll share it anyway incase anyone is interested.

This reminds me of the old-school style jazz charts I used to play in high school |

I was updating my collection and found this version for you Meesh since you liked that Stanley Cowell Trio version so much.
A Whole New World (Manhattan Jazz Orchestra)
This one I almost forget is an Aladdin song until they bring it back around to the chorus towards the end |

Still baffles me how such a nice guy could have such a great villain voice.
Seriously though, just excellent. Just freaking love the Cruella part <3 Can we have Jonathan Freeman sing every song from Aladdin please? |

You might enjoy this rendition of Jonathan Freeman singing "Prince Ali (Reprise)" with a few other villain songs in the middle

I'M CRYING
That plunge towards the end got me the most, I don't know why |

Right? It's like "YAY HERE WE GOOOOOO--oh." Like, I just picture Aladdin and Jasmine about to soar up to the sky really fast, but then Carpet just kind of circles back around and slowly cruises through the city again
Every once in a blue moon someone uses the ending of that arrangement for AWNW, which makes me happy. |

Yeah that trio! I like this version too - I like the singing in it too!
Hahaha your description of the BBC one is accurate! That build-up at 1:30 (and again at 4:30) is cool but disappointingly does not keep the energy going. Also 2:40 = wut.
The ending is nice. My brain wanted/expected it it to have the violin solo, like at the end of The Kiss |

The Stanley Cowell Trio? There's a ten minute version with some occasionally interjected singing, too. I try to find longer versions of the songs, but then sometimes they end up like the BBC Concert Orchestra version where they had a nice intro but repeated the middle three times before getting to the ending for 6:19 of confusion.
I was hoping they sounded better without the vocals . But I'm gonna assume it's because "Nothing In The World" was sang by Dan Castellaneta and Disney wanted the King of Thieves soundtrack (with ROJ in hand) to be strictly Robin's vocals to not clash with Dan's as part of that major apology they gave him.
I discovered looking through my list that One Jump Ahead and Arabian Nights are so rarely covered. I mean, there's like 10000 piano versions, but no one hardly does more than that. |

I'm waiting to see what route the live-action movie takes, but I get the feeling it's going to be slow, too, cause otherwise the most anticipated part of the movie is going to be less than three minutes long if they fly at the rate they're suppose to |
THEY CAN DO IT I BELIEVE

Oh, that! That's unfortunately common in a lot of covers with AWNW. Over abuse of flute is another one. |
Flute is the easiest orchestral instrument to play a melody on, and my guess is that they don't rehearse these more than like 30 minutes each before recording. Probably also contributes to them being so stationary |
