We're missing some songs, here, though. "Call Me a Princess" for one, plus the "Arabian Nights" reprises. Which is pretty standard for most OSTs, but still. I want it allllll. Laughing

I also really wish they would have had the cast sing "How Quick They Forget" as a bonus track, as it's my favorite Aladdin demo song, but mehhh. I'll live!

I thought they cut "Call Me a Princess"? I know it was in the previews, but from what I understood "These Palace Walls" replaces it.

Either way I love it all <3

Oh, that's very possible. I haven't read much about the show, I've only seen a video which is indeed from the previews. I guess I didn't think much about things getting cut even more from there. Laughing I need to educate myself!

Yeah, they made some changes between Toronto and Broadway - Call Me a Princess has been replaced with These Palace Walls and the trio are no longer narrators so the three Arabian Nights reprises have been cut. What you get on the soundtrack is everything from the show.

Definitely! It's well worth the trip (though if you do find a video make sure to send it my way Laughing)

Testing my limits now! Tony's run 1am-5am in the UK... Hope I can stay awake long enough to see JMI hopefully take home Best Featured Actor and the cast do Friend Like Me!

Why did the Broadway version not include Jasmine's "To Be Free" that Disney California Adventure's show, Aladdin A Musical Spectacular, features? It's such a great song, really bummed to see it not make it on. Does anyone know?

Well originally they tried to include as much Howard Ashman material as possible so Jasmine's song was Call Me a Princess, when it was decided that wasn't working in the way they hoped it would they decided to write a new song for her (These Palace Walls).

I don't know if To Be Free was considered when they decided to cut Call Me a Princess but ultimately they went with a new song.
