Mine's coming on Thursday! Had no idea "regular shipping" would take this long. I've been so spoiled!

I spent like 30 seconds listening to the previews on the digital one but then decided not to spoil it <3

Got my CD! I only have one complaint but it's pretty egregious considering the whole purpose of this series: HOW do we STILL not have the movie version of AWNW in full?? WHY ARE THE TWINKLES IN THE PREVIOUS TRACK?? Laughing

It's such a a tease hearing that intro and then being lead in to the ballad version instead. We even got the END CREDIT MUSIC, but didn't get the version of AWNW everyone is dying for. I'm so confused.

But otherwise I've been crying all night listening to this cause I'm so happy so it's all good Laughing

Okay I'm still on the first disc but I'm having so much fun. I'm slightly confused by some of it but I love it. I'm assuming these were original versions of the score that got tweaked or shortened here and there before before the 1992 film release?

P.S. Not sure how much discussion will be on this topic. Keep it here? Or make a separate thread?

For fun I lined up "Intro to Genie" with the released scene. I ripped the video off of YouTube, so the tuning is a little bit off:

I think it's clear the bagpipe part was supposed to be during the "laddie" part, but it's way off timing-wise. And there are so many extra musical moments that make me think there were lots of more jokes/transformations that got cut.

I asked Alan Menken on Twitter if he's got any stories Laughing

no idea if he'll respond.

Any others I should try lining up? Smile
