Remember how in the Lion King DVD they killed that "father son" moment with Simba and Mufasa, when Mufasa teaches Simba how to tackle Zazu? (or however you spell it) They cut that part in half and interrupted the moment with a stupid "daily report" song and dance by Zazu and a few other animals. I was soooo mad!

They didn't do anything like that on the Cinderella DVD did they? Like, maybe at the part where her dress was changing and sparkles were flying everywhere, they cut the scene right in the middle suddenly and added some nonsense in?

They didn't do that in the Aladdin DVD did they?? Shocked (still saving up my money to buy it)

You mean add a song or new scene into the movie? No, not for Cinderella or Aladdin. They only added a sequence in BATB and TLK so far in the plantinum collections. They really couldn't add anything with us because it would change something in the movie Laughing. They could have added "To Be Free", though....

"To Be Free" is Jasmine's song from the DCA musical.

EDIT: Hey...I was going to say that! Laughing

Aww, why didn't they add it in? Jasmine needed her own song! She's the flippin princess. But was it in deleted scenes or something? I wonder why they cut it out?

The song was never written for the original film. The song for the original was "Call Me a Princess", which isn't on the DVD.

I'm guessing it was supposed to be a song mocking what everyone expected of her.

Yes, but it doesn't sound like ti would be a classic like A whole New World or Friend Like Me. If they gave her her own song it should be something like To Be Free

Which is precisely why they didn't use it. Laughing

Call Me a Princess has always reminded me of something Georgette from Oliver and Company would sing. Laughing
