I know, but then again I didn't see Madagascar so either way I'm out. I'm just tired of all the CGI/sequels from both Disney and anyone else. I love cartoons and Disney particularly, but I can't tell you the last time I went "OOH! I must see that!!" There's a few like Kronk's New Groove that I *had* to see, but that's because they lured me in with Kronk/TENG Laughing. If that was, oh say, Alice In Wonderland II, I probably wouldn't have seen it even with it being Disney because the sequels aren't what they used to be. Beautiful animation or not, if the story sucks, you lose my interest.

I'm so tired of these 3D movies with these tired pop culture jokes.

I can't wait for Rapunzel to come out. Pleeeease be good. It's a 3D-2D hybrid but they're going to make it serious, so I've heard. Very Happy

And my drawing hero Glen Keane is directing it so I am going to see it by default Laughing

I heard they were redoing some of their approach because of Chicken Little and how it got murdered because of all the pop culture/Shrekish references. Rapunzel had some, but now they are rethinking them. So hopefully this movie will be awesome...er Laughing

It's funny how our movie can have pop culture references be ok because of Genie and sometimes Iago, but when you don't have some magical reason why they are there, people fuss Laughing

With the exception of Genie and the Muppets, I'm tired of all pop culture jokes, personally.

Very Madagascar and I didn't like that one very much. Those peguins where the highlight of the movie. If Over The Hedge opens around the same time I am more likely to see that one. Disney almost never used pop culture references up till Aladdin. Since they're CG it's all over it, that is one of the reasons I didn't like Chicken Little much.

And we have our beloved Robin Williams to thank for that.

Seriously, they discovered that Robin Williams' pop cultures worked, and they never seemed to quite figure out that the reason it worked was because the character was a genie.
