Think of it as the opposite of the "Really Obvious Things" topic. ^^

For starters, I was just watching Teen Titans. Tara was "floating' a piece of earth outside Gar's (Beast Boy's) window.

Tara: Wanna go out?
Gar: Sure! ...I mean, that's cool. But... why didn't you just knock on my door?
Tara: (kneels down and holds out her hand) Do you trust me?

I was like ":O!!!!!!" and started this topic. Because if you saw that, you'd KNOW she was referencing Aladdin. She had his exact pose.

So, what have you guys seen? ^^

Well, I love both the Disney and the original version, so I tend to read the little dingy books that are "based off the original". My brothers have one where Aladdin has a pet mongoose, and I have a velvet art picture that my friend gave me where "Aladdin and his princess"(who bare a resemblance to Al and Jas) are flying around on a carpet. Neither a pet or a carpet is in the original story. I also notice that a lot of the princesses have names that begin with a "J".

And I noticed a few lines from the movie in Treasure Planet, but that's a gimme considering Ron and John worked on that.

I always thought Mulan's "Punctual!" line was a reference. Laughing

I kind of saw one the other day when I was watching "Spider Man 2" ((Great movie by the way))

Anyway, there's one point where he's jumping from a building *Peter, not SpiderMan* and he's all happy, but then he falls.

Well, you remember that scene in the first Aladdin movie where Aladdin jumps from the building to get away from the guards? And he does that cool thing with the laundry ropes.

Well, in SpiderMan they do that too. It's kinda a coincidence... but I still thought of Aladdin when I saw that.

I watched "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and noticed the similiarities between the scene where Quasi shows Esmeralda the view of the sunset from atop the Cathedrel and the scene where Aladdin show Jasmine the view of the palace from his hovel.

Both marvelous scenes in their own rights.

In the Hunchback of Notre Dame, when he is singing "Out There," there are references to two movies.

the first one is "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST" If you look closely when they do a close-up of one of the city walkways, you can see Belle walking with a book in her hand;

the other one is Aladdin, becaust at one point you can see a women waving a carpet, and it is supposed to look like Carpet off of Aladdin.

Yep.

Who else here who has seen the movie thought Frollo kinda looked like Maleficent in some shots? Same angular facial structure mainly, not saying Frollo looks like a woman.

The man scares me.

I don't think that "the hunchback of notre dame" matches up to tlm, a, batb, or lk....

I'm going to keep posting because I so desperatley want to get rid of the title "street-rat"

I get more of a Treminane vibe (too bad I can't spell her damn, stupidity be damned!), I think from the rings he has on.

*Listens to Hellfire*

I watched the hunchback as a lil' kid, and then I watched it a few weeks ago.

I don't like how they make Frollo an obsessive, stalker older man. It's scary for me, and lil' kids.

I mean, his next step was to rape Esmerelda...

Although Pheobus and Aladdin are the only Disney male characters who they make look attractive.
