Aladdin - originally Chinese, became Arab, starting Spanish coincidences

Yeah, it doesn't make sense does it?... Either way, it's weird.

Laughing I call my sister's room the West Wing, but this isn't a Beauty and the Beast board.

I just thought of another one of these I'd completely forgotten about...

Right next to my apartment complex is a small Mediterranean restaurant called the Aladdin Cafe.

My mom just called me and told me that I have gotten two of my younger sisters crazy about Aladdin. Laughing

The 3 year old is putting bowls on her head and also dances to the Aladdin cd. She also has started saying "Aladdin" (and she's not completely talking yet).

My mom said my 10 year old sister insists that they listen to the Aladdin cd everyday in the car and always watches the tv series episode for the day when they get home.

Crying or Very sad I have taught them well. (My 14 year old sister likes Aladdin too - her favorite is Iago, but she's more obsessed with BatB)

I always try to get my 4 year old brother to watch Aladdin w/ me... so he does... but it's never hit me that he was that interested in it.

Then the other day I was making him some hott chocolate.. and he started to sing "A Whole New World." I think that my heart melted... seeing how it replaced "Hakuna Matata."

Ooh, ooh! You have to give her a spoon and teach her to say "I am dragonslayer!" with the bowl still on her head Laughing

Yes... and then you will have to deal with years of therapy... but it's all worth it now. They're so cute when you're scarring them for life.

My senior year in college, I lived in a not-so-good part of town, but the room had a huge window with the best view in Omaha. So, yeah, had to reenact a certain scene from the first movie a couple of times. Laughing Wink

I do that now! Laughing My mom has these huge green curtains downstairs because we have a big window overlooking our backyard and goes to the back patio. I always pull the curtains away the same way Al did. They look more like Jasmine's curtains, though.

Anyone ever notice that all the original Aladdin movie songs (except Arabian Nights,) end in an "e" sound? Prince Ali, and two mes.

It's a tiny coinkdink, but one nonetheless.
