If carpet could talk, what do you guys think he would say? In any of the movies or any of the episodes. I've always wondered that.

I would imagine him being the obvious voice of reason. Some things that the gang doesn't get (at least right away) often seems obvious to him, but they don't always realize it.

I like that he has his own character without words. The animators did brilliant work there!

The original Aladdin story from Arabian Nights has the Genie of the Ring and the Genie of the Lamp. Disney replaced the Genie of the Ring with Carpet since in that original Arabian Nights story, all he does is 1. Transport Aladdin out of the Cave (yes, not the Genie of the Lamp) and 2. He takes Aladdin to the palace again after Jafar has seized power.

If we had a talking character instead of Carpet, his lines would be along those storylines. Very Happy But I am sooooo glad we got Carpet instead. He's a loyal, faithful, humble friend. And in the TV series, he plays far more important roles in serving Aladdin against defeating various villains. Razz
