Okay, I KNOW this should be in Disney, but no one ever looks at that board, so I might as well condemn it or something. Rolling Eyes

Anyway, I figured we should start a thread celebrating all the "official" (Boo hoo, no Teacher's Pet...as if anyone else has even SEEN that one, though... Rolling Eyes ) Disney movies ever made. Every new day, I'll post a new movie, chronological order, until we smack 2005. We'll all rant and rave about what rocked or sucked about the flick, anyone who missed a day can post about however many movies they missed, whatever. Also, if you have some cool trivia about the movie, feel free to share with those deprived citizens who have no DVDs. *clears throat* Heh heh. Pixar ISN'T included, not sure whether that's good or bad. Ready?

Today's movie is....

Laughing It will be an emotional experience. And then Sting can talk about it for 2 hours and then add the oboes to Cher's song, since we all know how important they are to rock music.

I hate that movie.

It is because of movies like this, that I hate disney.

Plus, Jasmine could kick her ass...repeatedly (should the prince bring her back to life).

I like the movie, for the grace of it being the first Disney film, for the fact that they took a risk on a full-length animated film when everybody put them down, and for having the most lovable mysoginistic dwarf in animated film, no, FILM history.

*a Grumpy groupie too*

Looking at Disney's Silly Symphonies that came out only a year before "Snow White" and the anatomy of the human characters and comparing it "Snow White", it's amazing that they came up with an anatomically correct character from animators with a penchant for "rubberization".

Wow, maybe I'm nuts...personally, I liked Snow White! It's a classic, what can I say? It was the 30s, and things were done VERY differently back then, so it is slow-paced and long, but it still has an innocent charm that you don't get these days...okay, I prefer satire, but innocence has its perks...

But dyang, her voice was annoying. Laughing

The next film:

Okay, this one is mildly cute, but for the most part made me lose my lunch at age 4. Laughing

This one does nothing for me at all. No romance, and no interesting characters - except for Jiminy and the fairy (in whom they needed more of).

It was an early screw-up, but thanks to all the weird RANDOMNESS going on, no one forgets it. (Talking puppet, fox and cat people, evil puppetmaster, disturbing themepark that mutates boys into donkeys, and incredibly scary evil whale.) Yep...*whoo* WHAT were they smoking?

It scared me as a kid.

The scene where the kids turn into donkeys (it LOOKED painful) still scares me.
