Call me Seren. I've been an Aladdin fan since I was fifteen, but after seeing the musical last week, I rediscovered it so here I am. Also, I've just about fallen in love with Genie (no idea why but eh).
Other things I like include Alan Cumming, reading, writing poetry and fanfiction, sleeping, fanboying, internet, anime/manga (sometimes), and making photo edits. |

In my city, yeah. And I loved it - I'm actually still sort of in a daze over it, too.

Genie. He was amazing - every time he set foot onstage, the audience clapped wildly, even if he wasn't doing much.

Probably, but I'm assuming you don't self ship with Jasmine...do you? Or get butterflies every time her name is mentioned regardless of context?

Funny thing is, when I very first saw the movie, I was mostly the same way. That is, Aladdin himself was my favorite. Carpet not so much but eh.

Ha ha ha, nah, I find self-shipping too weird. And if I did I would ship myself with someone who doesn't already have a love interest. Still, Jasmine is the sexiest and most beautiful female character I ever saw. <3 |

Well, to each their own. Also I can't tell if seeing the musical is what made me fall in love with Genie or whether I always was and that's just what made me finally admit it.

I love Carpet's aesthetic, but I also kinda relate in that I'm soft-spoken and often overlooked, but intelligent and super loyal.
Regarding shipping, it's weird because I definitely have a crush on Aladdin but I never wanted him. He and Jasmine are OTP

Aww, that's like me. And tbh, most self shippers don't disregard their love's canon love - it's more like there's also an AU where you're their love. So if you want to ship with Aladdin, you can.

Well, I may not be in love with Genie (that status might belong to a different character I really like for years now), but it didn't take me too much time to realize I look up to Genie as a father-figure. Probably also the reason I just adore his more caring, kind side than his usual funny side as most do.
How I actually realised this though.... not exactly happy. |
