On Friday, July 29th, 7:30 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in L.A. the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is holding an event called "The Animated Performance: Art Meets Technology". Speakers at this event will include Aladdin animators Randy Cartwright (Supervising animator, Carpet), Eric Goldberg (Supervising animator, Genie), Tom Sito (Animator, Genie) and Kathy Zielinski (Animator, Jafar as snake/beggar). Why don't they fly over here and do an event? Florida is nice around this time of year..minus the hurricanes  |

Actually, I think one of the directors gave a talk in Iowa once (since he's from there); too bad I had to go to a wedding that weekend.  |
