at 7:06 AM The Fulle Circle Productions blog has posted an interview with Aaron Blaise where he talks about his experiences working at Disney and the upcoming film he's directing, King of the Elves. At one point he describes designing Rajah:
Quote:
During the design process, I did hundreds of tiger designs, trying to achieve the fluid Hershfeld look that the film’s art direction was trying to achieve. I was struggling until one day I saw the hood ornament on a Jaguar car. The little sculpture had a lot of the qualities I was trying to achieve in my designs. I drew a lot of inspiration from that little piece of metal on the hood of a car! My designs were soon approved!

"New" cut song recordings!
Posted by

at 7:46 PM Just a reminder that the CD Howard Sings Ashman has been released; it's a two-disc set of recordings of lyricist Howard Ashman singing his own songs, including 3 written for Aladdin:
- Arabian Nights (the original lyrics)
- Babkak, Omar, Aladdin, Kassim
- Call Me a Princess
"Babkak" and "Princess" are different recordings than the ones in the box set The Music Behind the Magic. The original (much longer) version of "Arabian Nights" has never been on CD before to my knowledge; it was intentionally left off of MBtM, probably because of fear of offense (it's very tongue-in-cheek).
You can hear short audio clips from the CD here.
